1. Photoshop AI neural filters can tweak age and expression with a few clickss

Today, the company launches an update to Photoshop 22.0 that comes with several AI-powered features, some new, others already shared with the public. These include a sky replacement tool, an improved selection of AI edges, and – the show’s star – a suite of image editing tools that Adobe calls “neural filters.”

2. How Google Maps uses DeepMind’s AI tools to predict your arrival time

Google Maps is one of the company’s most used products, and its ability to predict future traffic jams makes it indispensable for many drivers. Every day, says Google, more than 1 billion kilometers of roads are driven by the application.

But, as the search giant explains in a blog post today, its features have become more accurate thanks to machine learning tools from DeepMind, the London-based AI lab owned by parent company Google Alphabet.
